James Cameron and The Avatar: Big Winners at the Golden Globe 2010
James Cameron has done it again. After winning the best director trophy for his critically acclaimed movie “Titanic” twelve years ago he is back on the stage again accepting his best director trophy for “The Avatar”. It took him twelve years to make a full length movie but it was definitely worth the wait as “The Avatar” became the highest grossing movie of 2009. His golden globe win will make him a tough contender for this year’s Oscar awards. Apart from winning the best director, “The Avatar” also won the best motion picture – drama category.
James Cameron’s first major break was when he directed the “The Terminator” back in 1984. Despite of the low budget and not so good expectations, the movie was a huge success worldwide.
